| Comments: | I was a member of the Boy's Club from about 1975-1983. Those were the best times of my childhood and I will be forever thankful to the people who provided that opportunity for me. I remember going to Camp Jimmy Goodwin every week during the summer, working KP with Miss Gibson, Sham Battles, Softball, Olympics Randy Keaton, the Fitzgerald’s, the Fords, Phillip Hurt, Drew, Camp songs, Indian Council, Six Flags trips every year, Best camper, Foosball and pool tournaments movies in the Astro dome and I could go on and on. I would love to organize a reunion of some sort if you might have any of the old record with the names from those days? |

| Comments: | My affiliation with the Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama enabled me to be accepted at a high school that ranked Number one in the country. After that time, I articulated the same experiences when I applied to the various colleges. When I decided to apply for scholarships, my experiences at the Boys and Girls Club assisted in my being awarded scholarships.
As part of my grade during my sophomore year in college, I had to work as a volunteer for a non-profit organization in Kentucky. It was a natural for me to choose the Boys and Girls Club. I wanted to “give back” to the children there, some of the things that I had been given during the years I was a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama. What a wonderful experience that will follow one to adulthood.
